Welcome Clare and Michael and Emily

Ever have one of those weeks where the work seems to be stacking up, the computers keep crashing, and it’s raining all the time? Us too. Plus Kim’s still off sick unfortunately. Luckily, we’re getting through it. And Clare and Michael and Emily all started working with us this week or thereabouts (in the realms of marketing, editorial and tech respectively) so welcome to them…

As far as blinkBox goes it’s been business as usual – lots of coffee and green tea and looking forward to cupcakes on Friday! The update of extreme sports stuff from Black Diamond didn’t quite work out as planned this week (aah, you gotta love those bugs) but we should have it up early next week (we promise!). One worthy addition to this is a pleasingly honestly-titled show called ‘Crash Bang Wallop’ which – as you may have guessed – involves a variety of surfers, skiers and skateboarders falling over in increasingly cruel and unusual ways. Sophisticated it may not be but it’s hard not to laugh at the sight of a snowboarder being knocked over for the second time by the mini-avalanche he just created…

In other slightly tentative news we’ve been working on a bit of a small blinkBox re-design that should be showing itself in the next few weeks. So for those of you already on the site keep that feedback coming in on what you want to see on blinkBox (or what you like or don’t like about what’s there already) – it’s all appreciated.
